Tris di Rombi

On a cream ground, the artist builds a continuous grid of elongated diamonds in charcoal, each shape nested within the next and aligned in precise rows. A dense, patterned border encloses the field, reinforcing the sense of a framed, architectural surface laid on the floor. The geometry is strong but not loud: the limited palette keeps the rug calm and highly versatile.

Woven entirely by hand on a horizontal loom, the rug is the result of highly controlled, repeated gestures — counted weave, sharp colour changes and careful edge finishing. Slight variations in line thickness, spacing and junctions are part of the design’s character and a visible record of the hours invested at the loom.

This larger format is engineered for living rooms, dining areas and generous circulation spaces. The flat, dense structure makes it suitable under tables and sofas, while the pattern holds its own in minimal interiors and complements more layered, eclectic rooms.
