Vertical Trace is conceived as a study of line and interruption. On a ground of closely packed, natural Sardinian wool, the artist introduces a single black vertical band that runs from top edge into the fringe, like a seam or a path. To the left, small darker tufts and knots animate the surface, suggesting traces, pauses, or the irregular rhythm of daily life.

This arazzo is created on a horizontal loom, giving the cloth a slightly different handle and drape while maintaining a firm, architectural presence on the wall. All fibres come from Sardegna, sourced from local pastori; the material carries the same pastoral heritage that informs the artist’s work. Subtle irregularities in knot size, spacing and edge are intentional, preserving the marks of manual making and the time invested at the loom.

Designed for living and working spaces that value texture over noise, Vertical Trace works well above a console, bed or sofa, or as a focal point in a corridor or stairwell. It brings warmth, acoustic softness and a quiet graphic accent without overwhelming the room.
