Sculptural table lamp

A study in brutalist elegance and material contrast, this sculptural lamp is entirely handcrafted from carta d’argilla (an innovative blend of paper and clay). The vertical, monolithic structure is defined by its tactile, organic surface, rendered in a cool, soothing white. This solid geometry is dramatically broken by a series of sharp, jagged cutouts that zig-zag down the front, creating a striking architectural tension.

When illuminated, the interior cavity is bathed in a warm, golden light that highlights the raw, earthy texture of the inner walls. The interplay of the cool exterior and the luminous, warm interior turns the piece into a dynamic focal point that transforms the atmosphere of a room. Whether turned on or off, it stands as a compelling abstract sculpture.

Born from 12/15 hours of dedicated manual labor, the lamp’s irregular edges and rough-hewn texture are deliberate, celebrated marks of the artisan’s hand. It is ideal as an ambient light source on a sideboard, a bedside table, or as a commanding accent piece in a contemporary space that values raw materiality and bold design.
